We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team at European Dynamics in Ispra, Italy.

About the Role

This vacancy offers a unique opportunity to work as part of a development team on a major client's IT project. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining software covering the full-stack (HTML, JavaScript, Java/Tomcat, PostgreSQL).

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of software, including HTML, JavaScript, Java/Tomcat, and PostgreSQL.
  • Lead the maintenance of data harmonization, integration, and dissemination processes (ETL, ownCloud, R, and Python scripting).
  • Support data providers and users, including curation of standard on-boarding paths and documentation.
  • Lead harmonization and integration of new datasets or update existing ones.
  • C coordinate with system manager, business manager, data providers, and users.
Requirements
  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with 15 years of relevant working experience in IT.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development and data management.
  • 5 years of specific expertise in web applications, preferably Apache/Tomcat, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • 5 years of specific expertise in massive data management, preferably PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Experience in technical team coordination.
  • Agile IT project experience, preferably PM2 /SCRUM.
  • Strong knowledge of Java/Tomcat-based web application software development and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS data management.
  • Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, R, and Python software maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ownCloud or Nextcloud platform administration, APIs, and PHP.
  • Understanding of ETL data harmonization tools like Pentaho Data Integration – Community Edition.
  • Implementation of software security and data protection measures.
  • Certifications in PM2 or SCRUM considered an asset.
  • Excellent command of English.

$80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
