We are seeking an experienced Aviation Systems Specialist to join our team in Rome, Italy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all technical and operational aspects of Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices.">
  • Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness, and act as the technical lead during flyouts.">
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs.">
  • Suggest and perform hardware design, refurbishment, and modifications as required.">
  • Identify recurring issues and work to pursue permanent solutions.">
  • Perform in the role of lead technical caretaker as required.">
  • Seek and make improvements to procedures related to various training device maintenance tasks.">
  • Provide on-the-job technical training to other technicians.">
  • Assume the role of technical expert for multiple simulator systems.">
  • Support the Technical Operations Leader in assigning daily tasks and special projects.">
  • Work with specialists on complex issues requiring extensive testing, troubleshooting, research, and design.">
  • Maintain and support the FSTD operations Management System.">
  • Take on special projects based on the needs of the operation.">

Qualifications and Skill Set Requirements

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field, and at least 6-8 years of related work experience.">

  • Excellent knowledge of English (read, spoken, and written). Knowledge of Italian beneficial.">
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.">
  • Advanced working knowledge of computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming languages.">
  • In-depth technical background (Hardware and Software) and familiarity with FSTD technical issues.">
  • Vast knowledge of aircraft types, including Commercial Jetliners (Airbus family).">
  • Advanced understanding of aircraft and training device terminology.">
  • Advanced understanding of Commercial Aviation training.">
  • In-depth knowledge of local & International regulations, as they pertain to FSTDs.">
  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.">
