Senior PHP Web Developer for Insurance Platform

Zero to One Search is seeking a skilled PHP developer to join our team in Frankfurt, Germany. As a fullstack developer, you will play a key role in developing innovative software solutions for our leading insurance brokerage platform. With a focus on clean code and cutting-edge technologies, you will have the opportunity to continuously expand your programming skills and engage with different frameworks.


The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a similar field, as well as initial experience in web development with PHP and JavaScript. Proficiency in object-oriented programming and software design is also essential. Experience with frameworks like Symfony, Zend / Laminas, Vue.js, React.js, or Angular.js is a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Develop new features for our insurance products using the latest web technologies.
  • Further develop and maintain the overall architecture, including frontend, backend, databases, caches, and REST API.
  • Optimize and scale the system in a service-oriented architecture.
  • Ensure quality standards through daily code reviews and automated testing.

Requirements

  • Based in the European Union and open to relocate to Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or similar, or completed apprenticeship as an IT Specialist in Application Development.
  • Initial experience in web development with PHP and JavaScript, as well as a relational database (e.g., MySQL).
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design.
  • Ideal experience with frameworks like Symfony, Zend / Laminas, Vue.js, React.js, or Angular.js.
