Job Summary

Cubico Sustainable Investments is seeking an experienced professional to join its Origination and Execution team in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and executing renewable energy equity and debt transactions in Italy and other European countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the Italian Origination and Execution team and managing all Italian transactions, reporting to the EMEA Head of Origination and Execution.
  • Raising project finance ahead of construction and refinancing existing debt facilities for operational projects to optimize equity cash flow.
  • Overseeing equity investment and underwriting processes, including task allocation and management throughout the investment cycle.
  • Negotiating EPC, O&M, and PPA contracts with the support of central functions.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, including Development, Investment Analysis, Legal, Finance, Tax, Technical, and Asset Management.
  • Working with external advisers in the Origination and Execution process, including M&A, Financial, Legal, and Technical advisors.
  • People Management: training, supporting, and overseeing collaborators in the execution and negotiation of investment transactions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in originating and executing renewable energy equity and debt transactions in Italy and other European countries.
  • Ability to structure and transact on early and mid-stage development assets through upfront or earnout structures.
  • Deep understanding of various renewable energy technologies and the full investment cycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Italian electricity market and development process.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to address contractual, commercial, and technical issues.
  • Ability to adapt and reassess priorities in challenging situations and tight deadlines.
