The Centre for Sustainable Energy at Fondazione Bruno Kessler is seeking a talented student to collaborate on a master's thesis project focused on the development of a control system for a hydrogen test bench dedicated to electrolysis. This project presents a unique opportunity to design and implement a control system capable of managing and monitoring the operation of an AEM electrolyzer test bench.
Project OverviewThe control system will consist of several subsystems, including a state machine, alarm machine, control loops, and control architecture. The student will work closely with technicians to develop a system that can transition between phases based on predefined conditions and signals received from sensors. Additionally, the student will participate in a HAZOP analysis to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures to mitigate risks.
Requirements- Enrolled in a master's degree in energy engineering or equivalent;
- Familiarity with controls and programming skills;
- Good knowledge of physics and modeling dynamic and steady-state systems;
- Basic programming skills.
