Job Description

">

We are seeking an experienced CFD Engineer to join our R&D Modelling and Simulation team in Pisa, Italy. As a Hydrogen Simulation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our AEM electrolysers.

Your responsibilities will include:

">
  • ">
  • Working in synergy with other team members to design and develop various thermal and fluid-dynamics projects;">
  • Selecting, analyzing, and developing components to optimize performance and cost;">
  • Developing CFD heat transfer / thermodynamics / fluid dynamics analysis at stack and system level;">
  • Defining and supporting experimental campaigns to validate models and designs;">
  • Predicting, collecting, analyzing, and reporting results by understanding system and component design and their requirements;">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A Master's degree in energy, mechanical, aerospace engineering or equivalent;">
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in simulation of thermal and fluid-dynamics engineering or equivalent roles;">
  • Excellent knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics principles, and numerical simulation;">
  • Understanding of engineering design principles and processes in relevant sectors such as electrochemical devices, automotive, HVAC, or energy;">
  • Understanding of devices with heat transfer, porous materials, and multiphase fluids;">
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D CFD simulation software such as Star-CCM+ (preferred), Fluent, OpenFOAM, or equivalent;">
  • Good command of CAD/CAE tools for simulation pre-processing;">
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Matlab, Python, Java would be advantageous;">
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English;">

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package based on the market and your qualifications. The estimated annual salary is approximately €70,000 - €90,000, depending on your experience.
