About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Nursery to join our team at a leading chain of Nursery Schools. As a Deputy Head of Nursery Director, you will play a key role in maintaining an excellent standard of care and education for children from birth to five years old.

Reporting to the Manager, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure the provision of high-quality education and care for children. You will be responsible for supervising staff on a day-to-day basis, contributing to and implementing nursery policies, and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality education and care for children attending the nursery.
  • Ensure the nursery meets legal and statutory requirements.
  • Supervise staff on a day-to-day basis.
  • Contribute to and implement nursery policies.
  • Effective team leadership - ability to lead a team, manage effectively and efficiently, upholding positive working relationships and be an effective mentor.
  • Manage the provision of the nursery, ensuring that children, parents, and the staff team work together to provide high-quality childcare.
  • Be responsible for the management of day-to-day financial operations within the nursery, by meeting financial targets and managing occupancy to ensure maximum capacity.
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Minimum 1 year's Team Leadership/Management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' Nursery experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
