Job Summary

Ferrero SpA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Distribution to lead our flagship distribution center in DeKalb, IL. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and cost-efficiency in our distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve the quality, service, and cost of services provided to customers.
  2. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive success in the distribution center, ensuring alignment with business goals and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  3. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and collaborate with third-party logistics providers and other external partners to optimize performance and cost.
  4. Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure the highest standards of operational excellence are being executed, implementing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Capital Investments: Assist in the planning and execution of capital investments in the distribution center, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and providing a good return on investment.
Requirements
  1. Leadership Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  2. Education: A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
  3. Certifications: Certification in Lean Six Sigma, APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or other relevant certifications is preferred.
