Data Engineering Internship: Building Data Infrastructure

About the Role

At Technogym, we believe that data is at the forefront of all decisions. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be part of a team working on data infrastructure and data pipelines to support the analysis and modeling of both internal data and customer data, across all products of the Technogym Ecosystem.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of data.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand their data needs and provide the necessary data infrastructure and tools.
  • Optimize and improve existing data pipelines to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through proper data governance practices and the implementation of monitoring solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data architecture, and data processing procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, working with large data sets and building data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (e.g., BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Dataflow) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python.
