About the Role

Momentive is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the EHS Manager in risk assessment and industrial hygiene activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the EHS Manager in the execution of safety permit prescriptions, including IPPC monitoring plans and safety reports.
  • Contribute to environmental data collection, including consortium, ISO 14001, EMAS, PRTR, SOFI, and annual data for authorities.
  • Assist the EHS Manager in authorization renewal and coordinate environmental sampling in accordance with environmental authorizations and corporate requirements.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports required by law or by the corporation, including annual E-PRTR declarations and ISTAT declarations.
  • Develop documents for waste disposal suppliers and ensure that SDS at the plant are up to date and uploaded to the internal database.
  • Contribute to coordinating with the ES and execute the annual industrial hygiene monitoring plan with the support of an external lab.
  • Support the EHS Manager in conducting risk assessments, according to the law.
  • Maintain and update the EHS procedures, as needed.
  • Support the EHS team in preparing EHS training material and contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS management systems and policies.
Requirements
  • Chemical Engineering master's degree or equivalent academic degree.
  • 1-2+ years of industry experience.
  • Knowledge of prevention techniques in the environment and workplaces.
  • High level of professional integrity.
  • Team player with strong team and interpersonal skills.
  • Rigorous, committed, and able to provide excellent work.
  • Proactive and able to work in autonomy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Italian.
  • Intermediate level in English.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Safety trainer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASPP - Prevention and Protection Service Representative - certified.
  • Deep knowledge of main European and Italian environmental regulations.
  • Experienced in the implementation of environmental and safety management systems.
