Job Title: Product Cost Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Cost Engineer to join our team at Tn Italy. As a Product Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for estimating the technical cost of parts and systems, analyzing opportunities for cost reduction, and supporting the engineering team in the design-to-cost process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate the technical cost of parts and systems
  • Analyze opportunities for cost reduction
  • Support the engineering team in the design-to-cost process
  • Participate in the creation of target costs
  • Support the sourcing team in negotiations with suppliers

Organizational Structure:

The Product Cost Engineer will report to the Project Engineering Manager and will work closely with the engineering, costing, and procurement teams.

Performance Measurement/KPIs:

  • Accuracy of cost calculation versus technical product definition
  • Development and application of a methodology to calculate technical cost
  • Proposal of improvements to design or manufacturing process to reduce technical cost
  • Promotion of cost culture in the engineering team
  • Providing cost breakdown of components to the sourcing team

Requirements:

  • Good Excel, Qliksense, DMA, and Catia skills
  • Good product knowledge
  • Good product competitiveness knowledge
  • Good industrial process knowledge
  • Knowledge in the electric/mechanical field
  • Curious
  • Open-mindedness
  • Rigorous
  • Good communication with other people
  • English speaker

Nice to Have:

  • Able to use DMA/CATIA for basic work
  • Able to use SAP to extract costing information
