About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at BYD Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless system support services and administration for our computer infrastructure and various software and systems.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our HQ IT team to plan, implement, upgrade, optimize, and transform our IT network, server, and infrastructure;
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, and applications;
  • Continuously monitor and maintain systems and networks to ensure optimal performance;
  • Respond to technical support requests from staff members and communicate solutions to resolve issues;
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system and network problems, software faults, or hardware complications;
  • Support the rollout of new applications and ensure a smooth transition;
  • Maintain a record of issues and solutions for future reference;
  • Manage our IT inventory, including hardware items, software licenses, and warranties;
  • Collaborate with our HQ IT team to implement network security measures;
  • Provide efficient and effective IT support by working closely with our HQ IT team;
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization;
  • Prepare computers, laptops, and other IT equipment for employees and manage office equipment;
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualification and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field;
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT support-related work;
  • Fluent English language skills;
  • Chinese language skills are beneficial;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
