Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Ascend Performance Materials. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for driving unit performance to all operational entitlement with respect to safety, yields, usages, reliability, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement production plans, analyze deviations, and manage production parameters in SAP.
- Team Guidance and Leadership: Provide guidance to the production team and site leadership in the execution of scheduled production.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate and drive the continuous improvement of operations, proposing changes in equipment, operational practices, and production processes.
- Training and Development: Facilitate, organize, and execute shift changes and extrusion training programs for operators.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Master troubleshooting, investigation, and resolution of process and product deviations, proposing lean manufacturing solutions when needed.
- KPI Monitoring and Improvement: Complete, analyze, and monitor KPIs related to manufacturing processes, including overall equipment efficiency (OEE) documentation and implement improvement plans.
- Safety and Compliance: Commit to achieving higher safety performance and follow up on defined rules related to safety.
- Employee Engagement and Development: Create a culture of employee engagement, teamwork, ownership, trust, creativity, innovation, and growth by supporting operators in achieving their objectives and growing their skills.
- Knowledge of Extrusion Process and Polymers: Knowledge of extrusion process and polymers, including structure, tests, additives, etc.
- Education and Experience: Plastics/Chemicals/Mechanical engineer or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience.
- Language Skills: Good English knowledge (written and spoken).
- Experience: 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with chemical experience preferred.
- Additional Skills: Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a strong plus.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent organizational and prioritization skills for a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leadership and Motivation: Leading the team and motivating production operators towards the achievement of shared goals.
- Flexibility and Reliability: Flexible, reliable, and open-minded.
