Digital Merchandising Strategist for Ecommerce Success

About the RoleThis role involves overseeing all D2C merchandising activities, supporting the Country Ecommerce Manager, and ensuring best-in-class digital content across our D2C websites. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing new product launches, digital promotional activity, and pricing.
Responsibilities- Ownership of all D2C merchandising activities, supporting the Country Ecommerce Manager
- Oversee planning and implementation of new product launches, digital promotional activity, and pricing
- Ensure best-in-class digital content is presented across our D2C websites
- Monitor day-to-day website activity, considering the consumer journey
- Manage the D2C forecasting process for new and existing product categories
- Drive sales and conversions across the sites through development of the merchandising strategy & trade plan, whilst managing gross margin and forecast attainment
- Identify trading risks & opportunities and communicate them to the wider business
- Report on website performance, and take action to deliver improvements
- Manage and support members of the Merchandising team, setting expectations and establishing best practices and process improvements as appropriate
You will be working collaboratively with D2C teams and wider business, leading merchandising strategy discussions, and building campaign activation plans. This includes reviewing online content before go-live to ensure it's effective and managing detail-oriented optimisations to drive continuous improvements and maximise sales opportunities.
Requirements- Fluent Italian and English
- Strong knowledge of the digital environment and consumer journey
- 3 years+ experience in a similar role with experience in product merchandising, digital sales & commercial trading
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to react to change in a fast-paced environment, working independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, making active contributions to drive key objectives
- Self-starter with effective time management and organisation skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and interpretation of commercial sales data
- Prior experience in analytics platforms & performance tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
