About Our Graduate Program

O-I is a leading manufacturer of glass packaging solutions, and we're committed to creating a better future for our business, our planet, and our employees. Our Graduate Program is a 18-month engineering program designed to provide you with a deep dive into the glass industry.

What You'll Learn

  • You'll gain in-depth knowledge of our industry and processes, including glass manufacturing, branding, and sales.
  • You'll work and study in our plants, shoulder to shoulder with our best managers and glassmakers, experiencing first-hand the glass manufacturing activities.
  • You'll be assigned to our Aprilia plant, but you'll work with Graduate Engineers coming from all over Europe.
  • You'll participate in a structured learning and development program, with access to a variety of on-the-job activities, networking, and social activities.
  • You'll work on rotation in some of the best O-I plants in Europe.

What You'll Do

  • You'll develop an in-depth knowledge of our industry and processes.
  • You'll be assigned to one of our Italian plants as a Production Engineer.
  • You'll become the leader of a glass production line, an engineer in the mould or maintenance shops, or work as a furnace engineer.

Qualifications

  • You have a Master Degree in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering completed with honors.
  • Your CEFR level for both Italian and English is at least B2.
  • You are passionate about manufacturing processes and activities, and you are willing to work in the heat and noise of our factories shop floors as a manufacturing engineer.
  • You already have a valid work permit for Italy.

Additional Information

  • Your career in O-I will start with a permanent, full-time contract.
  • Your base salary will be between €32,000 (gross annual salary).
  • During the Graduate Program, you will be working and studying in our plants; remote working will not be possible.
