Financial Analyst (FTC), Customer Fulfillment Finance

Amazon is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join the EU Finance Analytics team in Italy. The ideal candidate will possess strong business partnering skills and advanced technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial models to forecast and analyze business performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimizing operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure accurate reporting and share financial insights to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Design and lead projects to support business priorities, driving financial and operational planning and execution.
  • Maintain and develop tools to facilitate knowledge sharing and standardize processes across EU teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Standardize and automate daily and weekly reporting across EU, working closely with CF Finance and Ops Business Partners as primary customers.
  • Identify and consolidate best practice reporting to ensure business partners have accurate data to make informed decisions.
  • Proactively identify and scope out potential initiatives to support business partners.
  • Provide support to business partners for ad-hoc requests, prioritized via a Service Improvement Management (SIM) ticket queue.
  • Identify analysis and reports that can benefit other sites, scaling accordingly.
  • Build tools and reports to meet demand, maximizing automation of routine tasks.
  • Create and maintain an automation roadmap for the Finance Organization.
  • Develop strong relationships with counterparties to ensure team work is not overlapping with other teams' responsibilities.
  • Own data sets incoming into the server and deprecation of data sources/servers.
  • Perform data set checks for any data entering the cluster/server, which further sources data for EU Finance Analytics owned tools and EU-wide CF Finance downstream teams dependent on data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth.
  • Solid business judgment and controllership focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, or economics.
  • Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges.
  • Experience working in a large team or fast-paced, corporate environment.
  • Experience making strategic business decisions and managing internal relationships.
