Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Specialist to join our team at LivaNova PLC. As a key member of our Global Operations function, you will be responsible for guaranteeing the purchasing of finished goods to maintain stock and production continuity, while respecting service level agreements and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release purchase orders to suppliers and update the Procurement system to ensure timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements.
  • Reschedule open purchase orders and verify with suppliers the feasibility of changes to suit production planning requirements.
  • Inform the Purchasing Department of changes related to prices or specific requests from suppliers.
  • Check regularly the level of products stocked.
  • Provide suggestions for new planning and delivery systems to guarantee process improvement in terms of service level and economic aspect, validated by the Purchasing Department.
  • Guarantee the program release for involved departments and check the status of activities.
  • Update constantly the Customer Service and Marketing departments on product availabilities or issues.
  • Manage requests from external suppliers in collaboration with Logistics Warehouse.
  • Manage purchase orders for indirect materials through the SAP system, prepare and release components orders (CSR/MTR) for suppliers/customers.
  • Manage purchase orders for other warehouses.
  • Ensure supply and be the key contact for external suppliers.
  • Manage emergencies in collaboration with Team Leaders and execute written and oral reminders to suppliers (e.g. shortages).
  • Manage extra-demand in collaboration with the Manager and Demand Planner.
  • Track supplier performances (internal departments and external suppliers) and share them during VMS meetings with all other functions.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to show and share planning and logistics requirements, follow developments until the end of them.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Management Engineering or Economics is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in roles related to Procurement, Supply Chain, or Production Planning.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel and Access.
  • Good knowledge of SAP ERP would be an advantage.
  • Green Belt Certification will be a plus.
