About the Role

As a Product Marketing Specialist at ABB, you will play a key role in implementing product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy to meet business objectives. Your responsibilities will include implementing marketing activities, supporting the Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products, and showcasing your expertise by driving sales efficiency through providing appropriate product knowledge information and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement product marketing strategy in assigned area/segment, including defining and communicating product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with global product marketing strategy.
  • Implement go-to-market product marketing strategy, including preparation of technical and commercial offers, definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with global product marketing strategy.
  • Complete offering cycle against strategic inquiries and relevant technical/commercial alignment, participating in sales strategy discussions for assigned Countries, and agreeing on short and long-term actions with specific channels along specific segments.
  • Analyze customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by local Sales organization; ensure efficient marketing actions and communication to local Sales organization and customers; oversee sales execution for assigned products by providing relevant materials and guidance to Sales team(s).
  • Perform regular project follow-ups, provide reliable monthly order forecasts for production planning, and propose recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls; prepare reports and market analysis on a frequent basis within assigned area, in order to complete close project follow-ups, meetings, seminars, and presentations with customers, End Users, and Consultants.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering; Energy and Electrical are preferred.
  • Proficient in Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of Power BI is preferred.
  • Passionate about problem-solving and working in a multicultural team.
  • At ease communicating in Italian and English.
