Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled System Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and electronic systems for our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for spacecraft, including requirements definition, technical design specification, and harness design.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless functionality of electronic subsystems.
  • Develop technical design documentation, including requirements, design description, WCA, PSA, FMEA reliability, procedure management, and test coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and space standards and technologies.
  • Work with Hardware Engineers and the manufacturing team for development and sustaining of current products.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, specifications, and test results to comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and select appropriate electronic components for new space applications, considering factors such as radiation tolerance, power efficiency, and durability for use in space environments.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of work experience in space/avionics industries.
  • Experience with Altium designer tool.
  • Experience with Spice simulation tool.
  • A self-starter and highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • MSc degree in Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with state-of-the-art PCB design tools and methodology.
  • Proficient with high-speed, mixed-signals, and power conversion design.
  • Proficient in using electronic lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, power supply, electronic load, etc).
  • Knowledge of common electronic interfaces like CAN, SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485, Space-Wire, MIL-1553.
  • Proficient with common ECSS standard electronic analyses like PSA, WCA, and FMEA/FMECA.
  • Knowledge of ECSS standard EMC and Sys design, Knowledge of Space Power and Avionic Unit architecture Knowledge of FPGA, microcontroller, and SoC architecture is a plus.
  • Knowledge of RF system is a plus.
Language:

This role requires professional proficiency in English and fluency in Italian.
