Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Equipment Specialist to join our team at Lloyd's Register. As a Surveyor Marine Equipment & Components, you will be responsible for assessing the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys of mechanical and electrical parts and components for use in maritime or industry environments.
  • Assess the quality of engineering assets and contribute to the Type Approval Process.
  • Present deliverables to internal and external clients and provide solutions as needed.
  • Comply with applicable codes and standards, including LR Rules and Regulations, IACS Unified Requirements, and EN/ISO/IEC Standards.
  • Identify additional business opportunities and work mainly in North Italy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or marine engineering.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a relevant role, preferably with a marine or nautical institution.
  • Sound engineering and manufacturing knowledge, with ability to enhance knowledge in various technologies.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English languages, with excellent command of written and oral communication.
  • European Driving License and ability to travel within North Italy and South Europe.
