About the Role:

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Signalling projects, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions on Italian High Speed lines, from bidding to contract phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective implementation of technical solutions according to project requirements
  • Manage technical interface activities with customers and authorities
  • Communicate project objectives to the team and ensure technical activities align with project schedules
  • Monitor document submission in terms of time, quality, and budget
  • Implement design and verification processes, including design reviews
  • Manage technical criticalities and risks, collaborating with functional managers and project managers
  • Ensure proper document management and configuration management processes
  • Interface with technical definition and construction document delivery during on-site activities
  • Verify project engineering documents and documents issued by WPLs, according to V&V plans
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of T&C activities

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of engineering expertise
  • Knowledge of Railways signalling systems, architecture, and products
  • ERTMS systems and products
  • Project Management, Planning, and Monitoring
  • Interface Management, Commissioning, and Project Quality assurance
  • System Engineering principles

Education and Qualifications:

Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background

Language:

Good English proficiency
