Business Development Manager for PreSonus in Italy

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is a renowned global brand with a presence in various regions. Our company was founded in Southern California and has established a significant influence worldwide, extending beyond the studio and the stage. A Fender instrument represents more than just a musical instrument; it's a cultural symbol that resonates globally.

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to oversee the sales function for the PreSonus brand in Italy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the sales function, covering partners in Italy across the M.I/Pro Audio and Live Sound markets, while maintaining and developing existing and new customer relationships to achieve assigned sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop business relationships with all sales channel partners (dealers/systems integrators/sub distributors) in the region.
  • Strive to achieve budgeted sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop local business plans, create local sales forecasts, and conduct sales analysis.
  • Manage promotional and marketing plans in line with communicated EMEA team objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams at the London EMEA office to develop new sales initiatives, marketing campaigns, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage sales channel partner accounts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions, sales policies, and rebate schemes.
  • Regularly visit all sales channel partners (existing and prospective) to maintain strong relationships.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge for the PreSonus product lines.
  • Deliver product knowledge training to sales channel partner staff on PreSonus products.
  • Monitor and report on market trends/changes, working with the EMEA sales lead to ensure sales actions and go-to-market strategies remain effective.
  • Ensure optimal product representation in-store and online for all sales channel partners.
  • Ensure sales channel partners maintain optimal stock levels, present new products at the earliest opportunity, and implement exit strategies for discontinued products.
  • Identify and collaborate with local artists (music creation, mixing, engineering, production, live sound, etc.) as necessary to develop strong relationships (in cooperation with the Artist Relations team in the USA).
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing or business development.
  • Proven track record in the M.I/Pro Audio market.
  • Strong understanding of the DAW/computer music marketplace.
  • Strong understanding of music creation, mixing, and audio production.
  • Extensive knowledge of the PreSonus product range.
  • Ability to present with confidence to staff, business partners, and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain working relationships.
  • Good planning and organizational skills and ability to be a self-starter.
  • Excellent business acumen with a strong instinct for growth opportunities.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable but not essential: Experience in the Live Sound market, in-depth knowledge of the Live Sound market in Italy, and first-hand experience working with PreSonus.
