Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sports Medicine Specialist to join our team at Aviano Air Base in Italy. The successful candidate will provide medical care and support to aviators, including examinations, evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in athletic training or equivalent from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC)
- At least 4 years of experience working with elite athletes within the military forces, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), or professional sports
- Experience with manual therapy and Graston technique soft tissue mobilization
- Physical proficiency to demonstrate exercises and techniques, hike over rough terrain, and function in austere environments
