Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Antenna Systems Engineer to join our team at Airbus Italia S.p.A. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing advanced antenna systems for space applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RF analysis and design tools for antenna sub-systems and components;
  • Conduct RF testing and reporting for antenna sub-systems and components;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select and define manufacturing materials, processes, and procedures;
  • Develop software tools for antenna RF analysis, design, and optimization;
  • Contribute to proposal preparation for industrial and R&D activities;
  • Prepare technical reports, program reviews documentation, and execute oral presentations;
  • Interface with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers;
  • Manage projects and studies.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Electronic (Telecommunication, Microwave) Engineering;
  • 4-6 years of experience in antenna analysis, design, and development;
  • Desirable: Post-graduation degree in Antenna and/or Microwave Engineering;
  • Desirable: Previous employment in space industry design department with responsibility of Antenna analysis, design, and development;
  • Desirable: Experience in development of Antenna products for space projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions and propose them;
  • Pragmatic and product/results-oriented approach;
  • Familiarity with design and technological aspects specific to the development of antenna components for space applications;
  • Familiarity with ESA procedures and space products development standards;
  • Very good knowledge of SW tools for antenna design, in particular Ticra GRASP, POS, CHAMP;
  • Very good knowledge of SW tools for design of RF components, in particular CST (Time Domain, Frequency Domain, Integral Equation), HFSS, Microwave Office, Microwave Wizard, etc.;
  • Knowledge of Matlab and/or at least one programming language (Fortran90, C, C++ or Java);
  • Basic knowledge of standard Project Management techniques and tools.

Languages:

  • English (fluent in technical and non-technical, written and spoken);
  • Italian (intermediate in technical and non-technical, written and spoken).
