About the RoleThe End-to-End Technical Coordinator will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and control of the Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS) of ESA Earth Explorers missions. This role requires a deep understanding of the Core PDGS and the ability to work collaboratively with the Service Team, ESA, and external interfaces.
Main Responsibilities- Day-to-day supervision of the correct functioning of the processing chain.
- Coordination and monitoring of PDGS incidents, problems, maintenance, and evolution.
- Oversee PDGS end-to-end performances.
- Assessment and mitigation of potential impact on other service functions.
- Responsibility of the incident management process, ensuring that incidents are addressed and resolved in line with the agreed SLAs.
- Oversee the Change management process.
- Organize and participate in regular meetings with ESA and Industries reporting:
- Issues encountered during the period with a specific lesson learnt.
- Performance results achieved during the current period and improved way forward if applicable.
- Changes and evolutions scheduled with impact on PDGS components.
- University degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in project and team management.
- Excellent knowledge of data processing chain preferably related to the Earth Observation Ground Segments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and share/acquire knowledge.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Knowledge of Earth Observation missions and their operational context.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in drafting and editing complex technical reports.
- Experience in Documentation Review.
