Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Amazon's Robotics Fulfillment Centre in Kemps Creek, Australia.

About the Role

The Reliability Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of engineering technicians, maintaining a safe working environment, and delivering high equipment availability through preventative maintenance and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and mentor a Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering team to ensure site operations are maintained in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
  • Work with the team and wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
  • Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide high equipment availability.
  • Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for shifts by organizing training programs for the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team.
  • Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
  • A degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university.
  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience of automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office and CAD.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S knowledge.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics experience.
    • Team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem-solving, and client/customer relations experience.
    • Knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within the Fulfillment Centre (FC) as well as maintenance and safety procedures.
    • PLC-based control systems experience.
    • Project Management experience.
    • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs knowledge.
    • Continuous Improvement Process experience.

Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
