Hydrologist (Closure) Position at Grants

At oilandgas, we are seeking a skilled Hydrologist to join our team at the Grants closure site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the groundwater monitoring program and supporting environmental programs and regulatory compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the closure manager to perform advanced technical hydrogeologic analysis and make strategic operational and closure recommendations.
  • Ensure the collection, compilation, analysis, interpretation, and application of hydrogeologic data for effective communication to stakeholders and management.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of reports related to hydrogeologic data.
  • Manage hydrogeologic work budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with water management strategies and data management.
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific nuclear regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Support other personnel in achieving site objectives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hydrogeology, geology, hydrology, or civil engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in groundwater remediation.
  • Familiarity with water well systems, hydraulic flow, and well field balancing.
  • Knowledge of advanced hydrogeology and hydrology principles.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and compliance principles.
  • Effective communication and technical writing skills.
