The Challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer at Planetek Italia, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems and infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance the efficiency of our development and release processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate software release and infrastructure management processes.
  • Manage and optimize existing infrastructure using cloud technologies and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Automate infrastructure management using tools like Terraform.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance in production.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure adoption of DevOps practices and integration of new features.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure system availability and resilience.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and operational issues, performing root cause analysis activities.
  • Maintain a strong focus on security by implementing best practices and managing vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to the DevOps culture through training and mentoring of other team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), or similar role, with a proven track record in both software development and IT operations.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools.
