Job Summary:

The Technical Applications Specialist will play a critical role in supporting clinical systems to provide front-line technical applications and training for all Binding Site systems. This position will involve undertaking development projects and investigations to advance technical understanding and knowledge of TBS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, train, and advise Sales, Marketing, and Technical Specialists to identify risks and resolve case investigations.
  • Develop and maintain good working and customer relationships both nationally and internationally.
  • Conduct technical presentations/training sessions both in-house and off-site to educate and support customers and subsidiaries/distributors in the optimal use of Binding Site assays and protocols.
  • Research, analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations for continuous improvements to specifications and applications procedures.

Requirements:

  • A relevant scientific degree/clinical immunology or pathology-based degree (or equivalent) or fully trained Applications Technician.
  • Knowledge of Biochemistry instrumentation or knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • The ability to travel at short notice and occasionally work weekends/unsociable hours.
  • Full driving license.
  • Excellent level of English Language knowledge.

Desirable Requirements:

  • The ability to develop training programs.
  • Knowledge/work experience in an Immunology/Biochemistry company. Knowledge of lab instrumentations in the protein sector.
  • Awareness of cultural and linguistic differences when dealing with international customers.
  • Excellent level of English Language knowledge.
