Job Title: System IVVQ Engineer

Location: Gorgonzola, Italy

At Thales, we are seeking a skilled System IVVQ Engineer to join our team in Gorgonzola, Italy. As a System IVVQ Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all tests activities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the definition of IVVQ strategy and generate associated estimates and schedules.
  • Propose IVVQ testing methods, acceptance criteria, and manage their implementation.
  • Communicate design non-compliances to the team and wider internal/external stakeholders.
  • Lead IVVQ activities on-site at Gorgonzola or at the customer's premises.
  • Prepare System IVVQ activities and analyze test results.
  • Highlight technical risks associated with the IVVQ phase and propose actions to mitigate and manage IVVQ risks.
  • Liaise with the PDA and Architect to ensure IVVQ is in line with the design and compliant with all requirements.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering and 2+ years of experience in IVVQ.
  • Good understanding of IVVQ strategies and philosophies.
  • Experience in continuous integration, test activities, formal verification, or validation activities.
  • Effective team player with strong organizational and team working skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation skills, and a recognized capacity to convince stakeholders.

Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of Navaids equipment and air traffic management regulations/standards.
  • Knowledge of Software/Hardware safety assurance standards: EUROCAE ED-109A, EUROCAE ED-80, EUROCAE ED-153.
  • Proficient in the use of issue tracking software (e.g. Jira) and requirement and tests management tools (e.g. DOORS, VIVALDI).
  • Fluent in English and Italian, with the ability to speak additional languages as French is a benefit.
