Job Summary

SAB Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems for space applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for space infrastructure, including mechanical assembly and integration
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Prepare technical proposals and documentation in English
  • Support installation and commissioning phases in Italy or other European countries
  • Manage technical aspects with customers concerning mechanical aspects

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable qualifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the space industry
  • Good experience in mechanical design, assembly, integration, and testing
  • Consolidated knowledge of Space Systems Engineering and Lifecycle Design & Development of a Satellite
  • Good hands-on knowledge of CAD tools (preferably NX) and mechanical simulation tools
  • Result-oriented, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, leadership skills, stress resistance, and time management
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Italian language skills are advantageous
