Software Development Engineer

Role Overview

As a Software Development Engineer at Marposs, you will be part of the software design team responsible for programming and managing software for industrial systems. Your primary focus will be on making client PCs communicate using Access databases and the PLC, Visual Basic/Visual Studio, and SQL languages for data storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage software for industrial systems, including client PCs, Access databases, and the PLC;
• Work with the team to ensure software is properly integrated and functioning as expected;
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve technical issues;
• Provide after-sales technical support to clients;
• Contribute to the design and development of new software features and tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience in plant and industrial automation with a strong understanding of electrical engineering and electronics;
• Excellent programming skills, particularly in Siemens PLC, step 7, TIA portal, WinCC, Visual Basic/Visual Studio, Access database, and Dot Net;
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams;
• Familiarity with the main applications in the Windows environment;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English;
• Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
