Global Licensing Manager for Softlines Partners in Italy

The Team: You will be part of the EMEA Consumer Products Organisation, responsible for providing leadership and direction for the development and implementation of Consumer Products strategy across all Mattel Brands.
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day licensing business relationships with Softlines partners in Italy. You will identify pitch and negotiate new business opportunities, collaborate with internal & external stakeholders, and lead Italy SL strategy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage all existing licensing deals, including master toy and licensee relationships in Italy.
- Deliver SL country strategy, supporting the Head of Consumer Products Italy.
- Own the retail strategy for softlines and drive these relationships with Consumer Products programs.
You will be responsible for:
- Pitching and marketing presentations across Mattel's IP portfolio of brands.
- Conducting bi-weekly 121 meetings, arranging quarterly business reviews, bi-annual top to tops, and tracking financial goals through forecasting and ambitious sales targets.
- Detailed joint marketing plans per partner, including licensee investment aligned with Mattel Consumer Product goals.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and comparable positions in the market.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working in a consumer products, marketing, or sales position.
- Understanding of the Licensing environment and exposure to Licensing.
- Soft Lines knowledge; experience working with fashion, apparel, or FMCG.
- Ability to influence others, persuade, and present messaging impactfully.
Fluency in both Italian and English is required for this role. Strong communication skills, oral and written, are essential to deliver a narrative and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
