The Italian branch, SMS group S.p.A., operates with a dedicated workforce of over 500 professionals across multiple sites, including Tarcento, San Donato Milanese, and Genoa. With a strong emphasis on innovation, the company excels in delivering state-of-the-art turn-key solutions such as hot and cold rolling mills, process lines, reheating furnaces, heat treatment lines, rolling mills for long products, meltshops, and continuous casting equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget, in alignment with corporate objectives, while collaborating closely with the Electrics & Automation division;
- Evaluate and authorize order planning, management data, and associated documentation;
- Manage documentation related to assigned projects and liaise with pertinent departments;
- Participate actively in discussions concerning the organization, planning, and execution of assigned projects;
- Collaborate with clients to comprehend their needs and initiate appropriate actions;
- Support Supervisors by organizing technical documentation for installation and commissioning phases.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a Graduate or Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, or a related Engineering discipline;
- Demonstrated expertise in steel manufacturing processes, particularly within the Electrics & Automation sector;
- Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in electrical and industrial automation;
- Willingness to travel internationally as necessary for the role;
- Proficiency in English is essential (knowledge of German is a plus);
