Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior R&D Process Engineer to join our team at Jefferson Wells. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for the technical development of new technologies and the technical development of orders. Your expertise will be essential in verifying the potential and technical and economic feasibility of R&D projects with the business functions involved.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical development of new technologies and the technical development of orders;
  • Verify the potential and technical and economic feasibility of R&D projects with the business functions involved;
  • Select the correct type of equipment to meet the objectives of the job order or R&D project, interfacing with suppliers;
  • Draft P&IDs following plant sizing/design;
  • Verify the compatibility/suitability of the work carried out with what is required by regulations and good manufacturing practices for Food Equipment Industry and handle any certification activities;
  • Draft process specifications to enable the development of plant automatic control software;
  • Propose technical solutions to specific customer issues or requests, in collaboration with the sales department;
  • Provide remote technical support to onsite technicians during start-up operations.
