We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer - Site Reliability Engineer to join our Core Architecture Team (CAT) at the ION Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Develop and maintain automated tooling and scripts to improve reliability, scalability, and observability of our services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues across the entire stack.
- Contribute to the adoption of SRE principles and promote a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with teams to define and implement SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to meet customer satisfaction.
- Participate in incident management processes to troubleshoot and resolve impacting issues in a timely manner.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in one of the major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a comprehensive understanding and real-world implementation experience.
- Microservices in a cloud-native world: architecture, deployments, and engineering in the Kubernetes and Container space.
- Familiarity with application development methodologies in a cloud-native environment and container-based runtime.
- Understanding of distributed systems and network topologies, deployment methods, and constraints in the cloud.
- Strong coding and scripting experience, preferably in Python or Go.
- Proven track record as a site reliability or production engineer, with experience working with diverse, remote, and distributed teams.
- Cyber Security and operations awareness, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
