Position Overview
Vantage Data Centers is seeking a driven Senior Project Manager to enhance project management excellence, optimize systems usage, standardize processes, and coordinate efforts across a diverse range of ongoing construction initiatives. The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement communication protocols among the Vantage team, consultants, and contractors, ensuring adherence at all times. Establish and oversee the Change Management Process for projects, collaborating with the Vantage team, consultants, and contractors to clarify scope, justification, and technical details. Assist the Construction Director in communicating necessary instructions. Direct the Vantage team, consultants, and contractors to define essential project processes, ensuring timely delivery and monitoring these processes while providing recommendations to the Construction Director. Collaborate with the Vantage team, consultants, and contractors to create, review, and regularly update the Project Risk Register. Manage and monitor Risk Mitigation Plans and contribute to quantitative risk analysis reviews. Prepare and submit a monthly Project Manager's CSA & MEP report for Construction Director approval, along with weekly status updates and other stakeholder reports as required. Actively manage and assess the performance of the consultant team, contractors, and vendors, reporting findings to the Construction Director. Lead the Vantage team and consultants in preparing alternative viability studies, feasibility studies, sensitivity analyses, and investment appraisals, ensuring timely implementation within budget. Support discussions with neighbors and third parties regarding logistics plans, delivery schedules, and strategies for noisy operations. Review the General Contractor's Construction Plan, Site Logistics Plan, Health & Safety Plan, and Quality Plan prior to the commencement of construction, providing recommendations for necessary changes. Guide the Vantage team and consultants in establishing a quality management structure and procedures, overseeing review, approval, variation, and reporting processes. Prepare recommendations for Construction Director approval. Collaborate with clients and consultants to advise on methods for advancing construction activities prior to executing the Building Contract, including early works and procurement strategies. Monitor procurement progress and report to the Construction Director, actively addressing potential challenges. Evaluate labor schedules from subcontractors and request labor diagrams for work packages to analyze staffing levels, facilities, and potential congestion impacts. Lead project site teams, consultants, and contractors in Value Engineering exercises and related feasibility studies, making recommendations to the Construction Director. Ensure compliance with Vantage HSE requirements, conducting regular site inspections to promote safety and progress. Report and track corrective actions to ensure timely resolution. Conduct routine site inspections, obtaining progress and quality reports from consultants and contractors, and implementing necessary mitigation measures to avoid impacts on quality, cost, or schedule. Present findings and recommendations to the Construction Director. Coordinate the agreement of all test certificates and necessary approvals from the Professional Team and Contractors. Manage the consultant team and contractors in preparing reports for the Construction Director regarding the implications of proposed variations and anticipated delays, proactively leading the team to mitigate impacts on quality, cost, and schedule. Collaborate with the Vantage Operations team, consultants, and contractors to develop and maintain a comprehensive handover plan, clearly defining stakeholder roles and responsibilities. Oversee the preparation of Substantial/Practical Completion documentation, manuals, and handover documentation by all parties involved.Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Construction/Engineering or equivalent experience. 8+ years of project management experience within the construction sector. Expected travel is approximately 10%, with potential for growth over time.
