About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Helicopter Simulator Technician to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for identifying, finding, and solving problems in complex flight simulation systems.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve issues in flight simulation systems
- Collaborate with test engineers and pilots to implement updates and bug fixes
- Support the integration of data, software, and hardware
- Perform calibration of instruments and switch systems on and off
- Conduct detailed fault analysis and rectification or repair of components
- Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems
- Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators
- Perform basic visual alignments and run automatic qualification tests
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications
- Perform administrative tasks as required
About You
We are looking for an individual with a technical degree or 3+ years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field. You should have extensive expertise in electrical engineering and knowledge of avionics is a plus. You should be computer literate, have experience in soldering and circuit board repairs, and have some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
