Postdoctoral Research Scientist - Immunology and Cancer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the IRCCS Istituto Clinico Humanitas. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of immunology and cancer, with a focus on understanding the complex relationships between the immune system, the stroma, and the tumor.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and execute experiments to investigate the mechanisms of resistance to immunotherapy in lung cancer.
  2. Establish procedures and develop new approaches to enhance tumor regression.
  3. Maintain accurate records of experiments and reagents.
  4. Prepare and present work at laboratory meetings.
Requirements:

PhD in immunology, cancer biology, or related fields. Solid background in immunology and familiarity with cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, and standard mouse work. Experience in immune profiling of cancer samples and mouse handling.

Preferred Candidate:

Familiarity with mouse cancer models, single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, flow cytometry, tissue culture, and data analysis. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and a team player. Excellent written and spoken English.

Selection Process:

The selection committee will evaluate applications based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Suitable candidates will be invited to participate in selection interviews, which will be held in presence or in telematic mode.
