Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's engineering systems and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of engineers to ensure they are performing at a high level and meeting their responsibilities.
  2. Maintenance Operations: Coordinate and manage the day-to-day repair and maintenance of the hotel's building engineering assets, including fire, life, and safety systems.
  3. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the hotel's systems are running efficiently.
  4. Communication: Communicate effectively with the Assistant Director of Engineering, other departments, and external suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
  5. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all guest areas are maintained to a high standard and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  6. Energy Conservation: Develop and implement an energy conservation program to reduce the hotel's energy consumption and meet its annual budget targets.
  7. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  8. Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks such as preparing reports, memos, and other documents as required.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Certified technical diploma in mechanical (HVAC) or electrical.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in building or plant maintenance, in a similar position or promoted internally.
  3. Language: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment: Italian – excellent oral and written skills, English – excellent oral and written skills, and additional language – beneficial.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be available to work on call, including evenings and weekends. A valid working permit in Italy is required.
