Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in San Miniato, Italy. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical systems that represent the core of our McPhy product.

• Carry out mechanical studies of Electrolyzer products, including mechanical dimensioning, optimization, and detailed studies of mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Draw up plans for the assembly lines of sub-assemblies and integrate and verify the detailed studies at the product/system level.
• Track mechanical requirements of subassemblies from the system/product specification and manage subcontracting of studies and realizations.
• Ensure a technological watch on 3D design tools and manufacturing technologies and organize and lead technical meetings on the mechanical part.
• Provide the necessary information to monitor the work done and the remaining work to be done and consult with manufacturers for mechanical sub-assemblies during the development and implementation phase.

• Engineering degree (or university degree) specializing in mechanics.
• Previous experience in mechanical design, ideally in special machines, is considered a plus.
• Experience in production (small and medium series) to integrate mechanical design in manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance in safety.
• Very good knowledge of SolidWorks, knowledge of EPDM is a plus.
• Mastery of office automation tools (Ms Office).
• Knowledge of process equipment.
• Ability to analyze technical documents for gas and electrical processes.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.
• Knowledge of risks related to hydrogen is a plus.
