Requirements Management Engineer
JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the management of tender and project requirements aligns with the global standards and methodologies of the company, ensuring that the final product adheres to contractual obligations.
This position involves providing essential support and training to tender and project teams regarding the requirements management (RM) process, methodology, and tools (such as DOORS) necessary for executing required activities.
The role includes monitoring and reporting on the progress of RM activities, managing the RM database, and assisting engineers in their RM tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement Global RM Processes for tenders, projects, and product development by facilitating project resources' access to the DOORS Database and ensuring they receive training on the tool, RM process, and methodology. Governance and compliance with all RM policies must be upheld, and any deviations from the RM process require approval from the central RM Métier.
Serve as the Deputy to the TPM (Train Performance Manager), aiding in the daily application of the RM process:
Formulate the RM Strategy for development, tender, and execution phases (with management support). Draft and maintain the RM Plan. Collaborate with Scope Owners to ensure they comprehend their responsibilities and adhere to the project timeline. Ensure data is reused according to platform and tender strategies. Organize and facilitate workshops with Scope Owners for each phase of the RM process (including allocation review and acceptance workshops led by the TPM). Prepare and format exports for client delivery. Communicate project status through relevant KPIs.Safeguard the Integrity of Contracts by ensuring that the contractual baseline and all modifications are implemented in DOORS and communicated to the engineering team for technical clarification and decision-making.
Guide Engineers in Requirement Development Activities by assisting Scope Owners in constructing requirement specifications and ensuring traceability of requirements to design and validation. Conduct requirements quality reviews, provide feedback, and suggest enhancements for Scope Owners to consider and validate.
Manage Change & Configuration by establishing baselines in accordance with RM processes, in collaboration with the configuration manager. Govern and maintain the Baseline Release Note in line with the Product Baseline Strategy.
Contribute to the RM Network:
Offer feedback and improvements to the Global RM Métier through RM Site representation. Assist the Global RM Métier in documenting processes, methodologies, and training. Support DOORS bug reporting, issue resolution with Service Desk, IS&T, and Tools upgrade User Acceptance Tests (UAT).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A university degree in engineering, with at least two (2) years of experience related to requirements management utilizing database solutions (DOORS). Practical experience working on projects at various stages of the project lifecycle. Strong communication skills in English. Conceptual knowledge of Systems Engineering/Integration.
