Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Certification Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Design Unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the certification and authorization of our railway vehicles meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the C&A Manager to develop and implement the certification and authorization strategy for railway vehicles.
- Support the preparation of evidence documents and plans for certification and authorization requirements.
- Collect and compile certification and authorization evidence documents for submission to independent assessors and authorizing entities.
- Organize periodic reviews of evidence documentation and assessment reports.
- Maintain certification-related data in requirement management tools.
- Compile and track certification-related reporting, including KPIs and cost overviews.
- Partner with the project team to ensure compliance with engineering, RAMS, quality, planning, validation, maintenance, and sourcing requirements.
- Prepare selection material and collaborate with independent assessors and authorizing entities.
- Compile certification and authorization application files.
- Participate in the modification follow-up of certified and authorized vehicle configurations.
- Act on behalf of the C&A Manager for specific project scopes.
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, certification, or a related field).
- At least 2 years of experience in certification processes, preferably in the railways, automotive, or aerospace industries.
- Strong knowledge of train systems and subsystems.
- Excellent communication and technical management skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Good capability to establish and maintain external relationships with authorities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic context and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Good team player with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to the success of the project.
