As a Commissioning Engineer at HITACHI ENERGY ITALY S.P.A., you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective completion of commissioning activities for projects with low to medium complexity.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the planning and implementation of commissioning activities, supporting the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager in coordinating installation activities.
- Implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation, while supporting continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.
- Assist in creating proposals for engineering projects, providing bills of materials and estimated engineering hours, and support Contract Managers in issuing claims.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase, identifying and reporting potential risks related to contract/quality/program/cost and recommending resolutions to management.
- Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification, identifying and recommending new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs.
- Manage external organizations to ensure availability of commissioning equipment, systems, or services, and provide relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with contractors/colleagues.
- Use standard processes to ensure all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements, applying and improving processes and tools in one's technical area to ensure effective project delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrotechnical Engineering or Technical Diploma.
- Experience of 6+ years with control and protection systems is desirable.
- Good knowledge of English (B1/B2).
- Experience with test devices (Omicron, Isa) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team and problem-solving.
- Availability to travel between Italy and Europe (90%).
