About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Southern Cluster Demand Planning team at SC Johnson as a Demand Planning Expert. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading demand planning activities for a specific country and/or country-product category combination. You will have exposure to various business functions and will be the owner of your work, reporting directly to the Associate Manager Demand Planning Southern Cluster.
As a Demand Planning Expert, you will make decisions that impact the demand plan and communicate those decisions to stakeholders. You will also contribute to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives. The role requires well-rounded experience encompassing analytical, communication, and leadership skills. You will be able to quickly identify deviations from expected results and other disruptions and resolve them promptly.
About the Team/Department
The demand-planning organization of SC Johnson is responsible for developing a demand forecast using data such as sales inputs on promotions and distribution, shipment history, competitor activities, and marketing plans. This position is a key driver in creating and managing true consumer demand signals to align the rest of the supply chain and company resources.
Responsibilities:
- Use and maintain current demand planning systems to create the best forecast possible using established processes.
- Collect and analyze past/future demand inputs from sales and marketing and calculate their impacts on demand.
- Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions to evaluate assumptions.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance for advertising and promotional activities.
- Ensure demand forecast is shared in the required detail and timing with documented assumptions and forecast confidence.
- Influence and collaborate with partners in Marketing, Sales, and Finance to address input gaps.
- Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of Demand Planning and Supply Chain/Business experience.
- Strong experience in demand planning and simulation systems or tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Intermediate experience using PC-based applications.
Experience you'll bring:
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field.
- Ability to drive action and influence decision making at all levels of the organization.
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
