Astrophysics Observatory Assistant

As a student research assistant in the Astronomy and Planetary Science department at Villanova University, you will have the opportunity to assist with the operation of our public observatory. This role is ideal for students majoring in Astrophysics, who are interested in gaining hands-on experience with telescope operation and contributing to the educational mission of our department.
Responsibilities- Assist with the setup and operation of telescopes during public observation hours
- Provide educational support to visitors and students during observatory events
- Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of observatory equipment
- Must be an Astrophysics major
- Availability to work select nights during the academic year
- A competitive hourly wage of $11.25
