Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician
Role Overview:
The selected candidate will report directly to the Service Manager and will primarily be responsible for the repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components of wind turbines across various sites, ensuring optimal functionality.
It is essential that all tasks are performed in strict adherence to the company's operational processes and safety protocols, particularly concerning workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines at designated sites;
- Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with wind turbine systems;
- Maintain medium and low voltage substations that support wind turbine operations;
- Assist in monitoring plant performance using SCADA systems;
- Manage the logistics of spare parts and materials from the inventory;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards;
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma, preferably in electrical engineering or a related field;
- Experience in routine and emergency maintenance of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, specifically in wind turbine technology;
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics related to wind turbines;
- Capability to work at heights and in challenging weather conditions;
- Possession of GWO certification is required;
- Valid driver's license (category B);
- Willingness to work on-call shifts during weekends and holidays;
- Availability for travel as needed for assignments;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software for generating service reports;
- 2-3 years of relevant industry experience;
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and participate in training conducted in English;
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential;
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of medium and low voltage substations is a plus.
