Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled O&M Manuals & Training Manager to lead a team of technical writers and ensure timely delivery of operation and maintenance documentation.

**Job Summary:**

Hitachi Rail is looking for a motivated and experienced O&M Manuals & Training Manager who thrives in a rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a group of experienced writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation, arranging training courses, and ensuring proper interface management between the Design and Build team and the O&M team.

**Responsibilities:**

Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation Ensure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan Prepare Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training courses Ensure Technical Writers internal teams effectively prioritize high-priority feature release work with other content, experience, and process improvements Develop an understanding of how our customers use the manuals and what content needs are helpful Review and implement customer feedback Identify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinate the implementation and communication of these changes Ensure the review of operation and maintenance manuals delivered by subcontractors Participate in projects, bidding, and delivery phases within project schedule

**Requirements:**

Two to five years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team Minimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, and applications Ability to learn new technical skills quickly, with knowledge and experience in application of railway Technical-Logistic support documentation, associated with any technical system, either rolling stock and/or a rail vehicle International experience and ability to manage international projects Knowledge and ability to review maintenance documentation from sub-suppliers, and techniques to handle relationships with suppliers in an integrated supply chain approach Willingness to cover a global role Excellent communication skills Negotiation Skills Leadership Skills Experience in modern Lean and Agile Organization

**Education / Qualifications:**

Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering
