{"Job Title": "Digital Mural Artist", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Digital Mural Artist to join our team at Sparcinla, a community-based non-profit arts organization dedicated to producing and preserving murals and public artworks in Los Angeles neighborhoods. As a Digital Mural Artist, you will work under the guidance of our Artistic Director and another Digital Artist to provide hands-on support for SPARC's works of public art. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, modifying, and adding detail to Great Wall artists' pencil and/or ink sketches using Photoshop and a Wacom Cintiq tablet, as well as finding historically- and artistically-appropriate reference imagery for your own use, for other artists' uses, and for the use of the Artistic Director. You will also participate in Great Wall design team meetings and facilitate as needed, and facilitate the Artistic Director's digital workflow and troubleshoot problems. Additionally, you will assist the Artistic Director with digital drawing and painting of commissions, help research and conceptualize new commissions, and perform general digital artist duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent illustration and storytelling skills, a strong sense of form, shape, silhouette, scale, and texture, and the ability to drive a sketch to photorealistic illustration. You will also have fluency in line drawing, contour shading, and building value through cross-hatching, as well as up-to-date knowledge of photo editing and digital drawing and painting tools. Responsibilities:

Salary:

* $22-27/hr
