Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Mechanic to join our team at U.S. Army Europe And Africa. As an Electronics Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems, including joint Services interior intrusion Detection Systems (JSIIDS) and digital control, monitoring, metering, and transmission data systems.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience with equipment assembly, installation, and repair, as well as the use of test equipment and theory of electronics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electronic systems, including JSIIDS and digital control, monitoring, metering, and transmission data systems.
  • Perform operational testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including co-generators, heating and cooling production systems, TVCC, gas detectors, and fire detectors.
  • Use all types of test and measurement instruments, including voltmeters, ammeters, wattmeters, meggers, and ohmmeters.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits, inserting, splicing, and connecting wires to fixtures, outlets, switches, receptacles, and power sources.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations, including the use of rubber gloves and sheathes, hot sticks, climbers, and safety belts.

Requirements

  • PES Certification IAW CEI 11-27 and CEIEN 50110 1/2, issued by agencies specialized in technical training.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics theory and circuit analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
